Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
Anything newer than a first gen is more costly and a bigger hassle than it's worth to do the swap. Better to just trade it in or sell and get the one you want! Same goes for turning a PreRunner into a 4WD with those trucks. There's a lot that goes into swapping a auto for a manual or vice versa, even on a first gen.

For me is Auto. I been driving mt all my life and my Fast and furious days are over. Unless if it was a sports car then maybe i would get mt, but not for a truck. Nowadays i let the truck do the work for me as i drink my coffee on my commute.

I've had sticks and auto's in both Jeeps and Tacoma's and find it much easier to climb a rock shelf with an auto. Just use throttle control and ease up, in a stick it's feather the clutch until you need a new clutch. There is a reason that the vast majority (if not all) off-road racers use an automatic trans.

My vote will always be M/T. I can't even tolerate the 3rd gen auto... and manual is fun to drive. Go manual my friend. Trust me.
