Big difference between cruising at 75mph at that rpm and being in 3rd or 4th on a 45mph road at that RPM. My truck, even with sound deadening throughout, is very noisy from the engine bay.

Screaming at 2500 rpm ??? Guess I’m dating myself but screaming in my day was 7000 rpm on a Chevy small block. It’s what we called magic 7 back then.

Got my kit after 1.04 was out, so I've only ever had stock, 1.04 and 1.04r, My kit is dongle-less so i've been patiently waiting for 1.05.

Got it, 45 mph road, i'd be in 5th or 6th probably between 1500-2000 rpm then.

This! The thing I don't get is people are complaining about how he runs his business. Before spending however much it is now, wouldn't you read every page up to the point when you bought it and figured out there is a pattern? This is not the first time people have complained and told him exactly how he should run his business. I bought in just after Christmas last year and read every post up to that point, was well aware of the pattern. Hype, delay... testing, murmur of good news, release! Then everyone is crazy. Rinse and repeat. I have to say Mat is much more patient than I. I would have gotten pissed a long time ago.

    Lol...

My fun car has catless headers and requires playing games to get through emissions. I am not looking for that chore with the Taco too. If mine is 100% stock and I tune, will I have a problem getting through an OBDII emissions test? Not a tailpipe sniffer test, just the plug in test.

I feel Mat has been more than patient through all this since the beginning. I guess people just don't understand that if he's answering countless emails about this and that, he's not gonna be able to finish the tune. But either way people keep bitching about not being replied to, or why isn't the tune ready yet. Can't win either way.
I'm pretty close to having the $ saved to buy the tune, hopefully soon.

I'm pretty sure he recently indicated that the emissions certification requirements had been met. But I haven't had any luck in finding the post . . .

Its been editing"" for hours. Will he finish editing SOON?

Did he get so upset in middle of editing, he just gave up on Tacoma all together? Is he moving back to California and work on Mazda full time? Will we ever hear from Mat again :spy:

I've read all almost 30,000 posts in this thread. Matt's a great guy and definitely has far more patience than I do. Theres been bumps along the way, but thats all part of new product development.
