You could buy an OEM channel rail and then cut it to length, and screw it into the tailgate plastic.

I'd thought about that, just not sure how well it would hold in the plastic.

You can take that plastic plate off pretty easily and put some wide fender washers and flange bolts on the backside.

I like the look you have going. I was just poking fun that the IG crowd would DEMAND matching shocks if you are gonna rock IVD wheels. I've got 27 minutes left at work, and I'm so damn bored. Just ignore me. :D

Carry on then! Fortunately for the IG fan boy club; I DO happen to have them matching very well. Silver and black, grayish theme all around.

Finally installed one of the most important pieces of offroad “gear” today. Thank you @EddyRRT (SOS offroad concepts). Can’t wait to ABUSE these.

    Snugtop, more to come!
Installed a Tech Deck in the truck to get the RAM suction cup off my windshield. Also attached a wireless charger to my RAM-phone holder. I'm too lazy for wires all the time...

I secure the rear of my cargo net with a strap wove through and secured to the rear d rings on either side. Works well for me.

Yesterday I ordered dash mounts from balls out offroad, ram ball, arm and xgrip for my phone.

Finally got around to installing a few quick fists I have had sitting on my toolbox for about a month. Fabbed up a fire extinguisher mount (current extinguisher was from my old race-car, I will be upgrading to a larger one soon) and 2 shovel mounts. I plan to test them out tomorrow before I rip them apart and paint them. Metal was leftover 16 gauge steel from my aux fuse panel. May be a bit thin and allow things to wobble around but I put rubber feet on the shovel mount to keep them off the wall of the bed. Also left room to potentially put a second set of quick fists to add an axe in the future if I go that route.

I also downloaded the ARRL handbook for the technician exam and picked up a cheap UV-5R to start messing around with. In the event I do go mobile HAM I will get a legit mobile unit and use this one for hiking or any time I,m away from the truck.

I installed a cheap PA megaphone under the hood because it was $7 on Amazon and I have always wanted one, so why not.

Make sure you’re licensed before you start broadcasting. The way I studied for my test was I printed out all of the possible questions along with their answers, studied only the correct answers and didn’t even read the wrong answers. $15 and a test later I got my license.

Most definitely, I thought about doing that, I hear a lot of people do it that way. I took an online practice test and passed without reading or studying anything, figured I might as well at least read through the ARRL guide book then wing it.
