I noticed that my Tacoma is always binging. When I open the door, turn off the car and open the door, or just randomly this truck is always binging for some reason. Anyone figure out to reduce this?

You need to remove the bing module.

there is a door chime module under the dash, usually drivers side up around the column area.. you can just unplug it.. or muffle it with some gorrilla tape to make it less annoying.. my 2013 mazda cx-5 is not nearly as annoying as the 2016 tacoma seatbelt warning.. I am a corrections officer and I usually wear mine, but if I'm carrying I like to be able to get out of the seat without fussing with a seatbelt ( i know, i know.. safety).. it has really got me thinking about muffling that sucker at least...

These two options seem to be the most effective.

Had no idea there was one. Since the key is always on me I wonder if there is a purpose for the bing at all except if you leave the car in D when you think you are parked.

Good points. In Los Angeles it is impossible to get a CCW so I will not have to worry about that.

There is no chime module under the dash.
It is built into the gauge cluster.

if you open the door before turning off the truck is will bing at you. I just push the black button in the door jamb that the door would be pushing on to turn it off so it thinks the door was closed if im going to be sitting there for a bit.
