How are you going to keep it cool? Or route the mic wire?

I’m putting a controlled fan in the space behind the console box and under the rear cup holders. There is a vent out already so I just need to neatly perf the box.

When in use the mic routes out the OEM cable management slot inline with the jack.

One of the very first mods I did, and still maybe my fav. The Hondo knobs just feel great, are the prefect size, and look good! I appreciate them every time I reach for the radio.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
I know that your stoked! FYI - keep your hands away from the handles when you close it. Those things have a snap back action that can grab your fingers. Just saying from experience.

That’s the way to do it. Just give it a slam and stay clear. Lol
I really like my setup in the bed now, I ordered a few of their cases. I pack them for the gun range, camping, tools, recovery gear. Etc.
I will recommend drilling a small hole in the bottom of the ammo boxes on the sides so they drain.
I also mounted my 400w Inverter in the ammo box on the right, so I could still use it.

thanks for the tips. I got all the accessories including core trax. Thinking to get a rubber mat and lay on top too so stuff doesn't slide.

When you just slightly push up or down on the turn signal and let go it will blink 3 times for a lane change. They can change it to any number of blinks up to 7. Yes, they can turn off the seat belt chime.

10k service today with transmission TSB. Haven’t driven it far enough to know if it made much difference yet, but going on a road trip to San Diego on Thursday so I should find out then.

I did sort of an "experiment" this last weekend. Drove Friday from Newnan GA to Raleigh NC, 466 miles each way. Halfway there I filled up with 93 octane, 17 gallons. On the way back I filled again, 17 gallons, with 87 octane. 95% highway driving in each case. With the 93 I averaged 74 mph per the computer, and got 20.7mpg. With the 87 I averaged 76 mph and got 20.9mpg. Most of the time with cruise control, slightly slower on the way there since it was raining. I could not tell a difference in acceleration or passing power between the 2, so I'm going to save $ and stick with 87. I have made that trip several times in the Taco and usually got 19.8 mpg. However, I recently had the TSB0062 done, so I'm ascribing the 1mpg improvement to that. It did hold 5th gear longer in up hills, and when it downshifted to hold speed the transitions were a lot smoother. My $.02 worth.

The matte black just take more care to keep them looking even and clean.

With painted or gloss wheels you can essentially wipe them off and they will look ok. My experience with matte is that you have to really be careful about what products you use to clean them and once they are clean it is better to rinse them with de-ionized water to avoid water spotting. Even with de-ionized I blow forced air onto the wheel to really make sure all the water is out of every area so when I drive the truck later I don't have water being thrown out and onto the finish. I don't ever touch the wheels with my bare hands as to avoid oils from being deposited that may be difficult to remove. I know that some reading this are going to point out that the wheels are going to get road grime and oils on them all day long, I realize this but still choose not to touch the wheels if at all possible.

Detailing my Tacoma is a hobby of mine so I choose to take extra special care of the finish overall. These new matte wheels are amazing to look at but definitely take a little more care to keep them looking that way. In all fairness, my wheels are only a month old so it remains to be seen if all the effort I take to keep them looking new will pay off in the long run.

Let me know if you need anything else. I am always happy to give my 2 cents...

Tonight I installed decals from @rrentrop over my center caps to match the paint. Process was easy and took about an hour for all 4.
