FYI I had to buy the Kuat HI-LO Hitch Adapter to get it to not hit the tail gate.

Month plus old question... but I have a 1up and got the fat tire adaptor kit to fit my fatbike with Bud/Lous (~5"), and it'll work fine with any smaller tired bike as well. I often put my road bike in the fat tire brackets without any worries.

Some people worry about the way that it attaches inside the hitch (I don't worry about this). There's no pin to go through, but it secures itself by a ball that pinches it from within. I use a short velcro strap that came with it as a security measure, but I've never felt it was ever going to fall out. Just mentioning it because it is a different way to secure a hitch mounted rack than most others.

My only complaint is that when folded up, the rack blocks my license plate, which it didn't do on my old car. So I don't leave it on all the time like I did before just because I don't want to give the police a silly reason to pull me over. This complaint is 100% a function of me wanting to be lazy and not have to take the rack off.

Edit: one great feature I forgot to mention is that I almost always use it as a single tray, but got a 2nd tray that bolts on when I have a 2nd bike to transport. both pieces will fold up pretty nicely for storage.

Best solution to tailgate clearance issues....https://rakattach.com/

You can swing a rack to the side with 4 bikes loaded up. This was the best purchase I ever made for bike camping trips. Kuat has bought the rights to this design and now sells the same product with Kuat badging, but buying direct from RakAttach allows you to pick which side it swings to.

But at a cost. Rack Attach is 100.00 more.

Pretty sure it's $60 more. I was happy to pay that difference to get one that swings to the drivers side and comes in a larger size. I also prefer to buy direct from the guy that designed and built the thing himself, especially since he's local to me.
