I'll use the same thing I've used on my last 2 trucks. Took a couple bungee cords, and attached strapping to them. My other trucks had metal beds, so I used 30 LB magnets to hook the bungee cord to.

I had tonneau covers on my past trucks, and my new one will arrive tomorrow for my Tacoma. Couldn't figure a way to attach it being a plastic bed, then thought about the screws that hold in those storage compartments in the bed. Took one screw out and it's plenty long enough for the 3/4" stainless D rings I ordered. The net sits low, but this design has always worked for me...except a few times a can would come out of a bag and roll to the cab.

    D rings I ordered.

    Attachment points.

Rtic 65 cooler for cold & small loose items at the gate. Everything else goes around it. Works also for Costco & Sams club with no bags. Bread, chips & fragile stuff go in the backseat.

I recommend a couple of folding trunk organizers and a load bar. The two bungees allow even more options for bags.

i LIKE it. similar to my channel and board solution (see previous post a few back) but your d rings get out of the way better than my channels.
any tips on the bubbanet? i might do that for the other 2 screws (closer to tailgate) and then have a way to really secure things between board and net. howd u make it? looks like a couple of bungees and [what is webbing]?

I found two bungee cords that were a snug fit, and bought a pair of $5.00 tie down straps from walmart. Cut them to the size I wanted, and stapled everything together the way I wanted it. Then I had my mom sew everything up good on her sewing machine. Total cost was maybe around $10.00.

The straps are loose and can be moved where ever I want.

I put my groceries in the back of the bed. With the bed mat and the bed extender (with the tailgate up) the groceries don't move around.

Bought a couple of these from Harbor Freight for about $13 each. [IMG]
THen I picked up a couple of these straps that come with several carabiners attached to them to go between the headrests in the back seat or you can run them from side to side in the bed for extra bags. They make them in a few different links and they are pretty cheap also. You can kind of see where I put them in the pic below.

Whats the story with your back seat set up, or is there an existing thread about it?

I just tie the tops of the plastic bags in a full knot on the way out from the store. Everything goes up near the cab to keep wind at a minimum. Potato chips at the front and Diet Coke at the rear of the pile. Drive home 15 miles on the freeway just fine.

If they don't go in the back seat then bungee through all the handles and hook to a bed cleat tight.

Been thinking about this... I also wonder if you could get hooks of some sort to clip in the bed rail slides (or more of the stock clips that go in). That way you can just hook the bags on the hook and it will hold it up so it wouldn’t slide around.

I don’t like any ideas of boxes, crates, nets etc. it turns a truck into an SUV. Just buy an SUV.
I want my truck bed open so at any time I can throw anything large, heavy, or dirty back there.
I’ll forget I have crap back there then be trying to fit in a large HD trip in the bed a long with some big ass storage bin.

Get 2 2x6's some angle iron and cut to size. Fits perfect in the slot in the rear of the bed. You got a bed divider for under $20.
