    Hello all -

    I'm new to TacomaWorld, but not new to Toyota - I had a fabulous '86 2x4 xtra cab long bed that I was hoping to drive forever, but circumstances forced the sale and I drove a Honda CRV for 6 years before I found my new-to-me 2007 2x4 access cab Tacoma.

    I'm loving being back in a truck (and back to a stick), but I'm finding it hard not to make comparisons to my '86 - it was so easy to drive! It was all set up for long-term camping! I'm sure I'll get used to the taco soon, but I think I'll have to make some modifications first...

    Looking forward to getting to know you all and draw further on the collective knowledge of this great group!

    I too started out with a new '86 in '86. Was a great little truck, 22R with a 5 sp. Moved on to a couple of 4Runners also with MT's and now I'm back to a pickup. A 2017 Tacoma Off road with an automatic. Still trying to get used to not having the manual. Welcome to TW and enjoy your new truck.
