Hey I just ordered a set of Cali raised Led ditch 3x2 pods and mounts, along with the Amber oem switch. Can anyone with these on a second gen attach some pics? I’m really curious to see how they will all fit and look

If you have any close ups of the brackets on from different angles that would be cool but if not no worries. They were shipped and will be here this week, I’m real excited to get them on

I have a 2010 and the 2 bolts that hold the hood up won't budge. Any advice? That's what the brackets need to hook onto so I'm not sure how to work around that

Hit them with penetrating oil, or turn harder.

Would you happen to know how to connect these 2 adapters? One is from a wiring kit and the other is from my ditch light

    A couple options.
Cut connectors off both and use butt connectors/solder and heat shrink to join wires. Effective, cheap and any hardware/auto/walmart store will have the butt connectors.
Cut connectors off harness side and use crimp on/solder on recepticle terminal that the blade will slide into. Effective, removable, cheap, any auto parts, most hardware/walmart store will have the connectors.
Cut connectors off light wires and install correct deutch connector. I would go this route but it costs a little more and takes a little more time because you may not find deutch connectors locally. Effective, weather resistant, removable.
Either way, soldering is better than just crimping. Any exposed connections should have marine/waterproof heat shrink.

As long as the connections are under the hood it’ll be fine. We’ve had biblical levels of rain here and i went to check under the hood of my truck and it was dryer than a nun in the desert.

Cutting both off sounds like a good option. Do I really need to a solder? Can I just open the wire and mesh them together securely with a twist motion. Then heat shrink plus electrical tape, that should keep it tight in replace of soldering it rightttt?

No, soldering is not required, but is better.
You can just mush em together and hack job it.
When your lights start flickering and having issues, remember to cut the wires and do it right the second time. Do it atleast half right the first time and use crimp connectors and marine heat shrink. I know from experience that wires and connections can corrode even when someone says they can drive through a lake without getting their engine wet.

Maybe some of us are better at hack jobs than others ;-)

Got my ditch lights hooked up nicely. However my Dutch harness is causing another problem.. The 3 female adapters for the switch are too small to plug onto an OEM switch. Can I just pry off the adapters on the end of the 3 wires and buy bigger ones so it fits or is there another way? 20181106_181046.jpg 20181106_181257.jpg 20181106_181401.jpg
