New member here. I promise I searched for the answer to this, but with so much info it's kind of a needle in a haystack. Trying to figure out what is generally considered the lowest offset you can go with stock tire size and no lift without having rubbing or clearance issues. As I was trying to get familiar with fitments I was playing around on Tirerack. If I'm reading correct the stock OR wheels are +25. I pulled up a Method wheel with a 0 offset, and Tirerack noted that it was an "aggressive fitment" that would necessitate a lift or fender modifcations. I know TR plays it conservatively, but was surprised to see that. Could that be right? Seems like that wouldn't leave a lot of options for decent wheels without suspension mods.

    This is what I found
    The Wheels: Stock TRD Off-road

    Backspace/offset/etc: Offset: 25mm and backspacing: 5''
Positive offset pushes the wheel in toward the frame and negative offset moves the wheel out.

Maybe I'll come at this a different way. Is 16X8 Ray10 with OEM tires doable without a lift, and without rubbing at full lock? I'm not planning to lift, yet, and would also like to get the good out of my tires, as I do plan on keeping/storing the OEM wheels.

    Yes.

If you think there’s a chance you might sell them later, or buy a 4Runner and use them on it later, you might consider 17”.
