I prefer meguiars #40, but yeah it's the same way. I notice it only in certain lighting.

Its a taco / midsize truck guys not a freaking porsche. Even the 2nd gens had inconsistent plastic coloring throughout the cabin. Heck the 12-15's had weird grease like marks on the door arm rest panels.

Yep, it looks cheap. I totally dislike the '60-'70s era cars but were better built.
Went from metal to plastic to cheap plastic (engineered). Waiting for cardboard parts.

Different types of plastics for different applications. Simple.

Wow. I love my taco but my old 2015 Dodge Dart ran circles around Toyota in the interior department. And it was 13k cheaper. Point is, just cause it’s a mid size truck, and not a Porsche, doesn’t mean it should be crap, or just good enough.

Seriously? I bet a mismatched interior plastic tacoma outlasts any FCA product 3 times over. QDR is what Toyota does best, its never been about aesthetics. That's why people buy Toyota's, not because the apperance of quality based on interior pieces but because they actual last and are dependable / reliable where it matters, like the powertrain.

Somebody gets it. Durability and reliability is what matters and is what built the Toyota brand, everything else is just fluff.

You can have dependability and reliability with a quality interior. And if that’s not the consensus, we are all doomed.

My interior is fine for me. I guess everybody has their definition of quality though. I know I paid $35K for a truck, not $126K for a Range Rover or $85K for a Land Cruiser or $80K for a Ford F250. $35K.

That's focused sun damage, it cooked the grill too right along that line.

Was there a giant magnifying glass convention in town that day?

For 40k you should have hand-hewn hardwood with exotic metal inlays. Not industry standard plastics.

$40K used to buy a nice house. Now for $40K you get a Tonka truck...at least all plastic have the same color...and is not melting in the sun...
