Definitely a must. Ride is substantially better and allows for plenty of droop travel

Is it possible to do the Hammer Hangers and SUA with stock location of the shock?

Absolutely, just need to be aware you dont change to a shock with compressed length too long. With spring over, people can get away with a longer compressed length because they have a thick spring, tall bumps and often a ubolt flip on top of axle that all limit shock compression.

:spending: Thanks Eric, can't wait to get these in. What's the install process for bushings in stock shackles? I vaguely remember seeing it in this thread but couldn't find it again.

Thanks again. You need to remove the entire stock bushings, including the outer steel shell with flange. You can burn out the rubber bushings, then remove inner bolt sleeve, then you can use a sawsall to carefully slit the outer steel bushing sleeves. Be careful not to cut into the shackle tube.

I KNEW I saw this shit somewhere. Sharing here for anyone else interested in upgrading to poly bushings with stock shackles. You can get a pair of stock shackles with no bushing through toyota for about $20. Way better than dealing with getting the old stock bushing out. p/n 04005-65104

It's not tough. I burned the rubber out and used a saw zall with metal cutting blade. Only took about 15 minutes per side

    Thank you! That's Awesome
I've liked buying from Olathe Toyota for my Yota parts, their price is $21.39. I just ordered the part number for $36 shipped to verify.

Thank you Eric! HHs go great with my new Deaver U402 Stage II. I started out with 21-1/2' from center of wheel to fender flare. After install I had 25". Looks like I got a 3" lift from Deavers and a 1/2" lift from HHs. Ride is so much better.
I did the install myself and it was a bitch. Getting the old hangers off was time consuming but doable. Leafs were heavy at what seemed to be over 100 lbs. It was brain over brawn in this situation. I would do it again in a minute.

I know, I had to do the same with my SPC UCA's. Just told myself if I didnt have to, I wouldn't do it ever again. Lol

I ordered bushings from you Eric and new shackles from Toyota. Do I grease the bushings? I may have to go back and add grease. You need a FAQ at your store. :)
Also my next hurdle is Limit Straps. ;)

Hmm - So if I have the Dakar Medium leafs and 5160 rear shocks, I would still gain about 1/2 additional lift and more droop/flex? I am still on stock brake lines so those would have to be lengthened correct?

Probably about .3" lift, with Dakars the droop happens easier and without the pack fanning out, with 5160 shocks, shocks are limiting factor. Yes, longer brake lines needed, 24" min recommended.
