F3B15F7A-073D-4E61-8F9D-DA600001831D.jpg I wasn’t a fan at first but it has grown on me. Got tired of the black vinyl looking faded out and figured I should remove it sooner than later to avoid the inferno paint looking different.

Mines got a bunch of scratches from tree branches on the vinyl. So it stays.

I did not have to remove the weather-stripping around the windows when I removed the vinyl. I just kind of started it with my fingernail while using a hair dryer. It came off pretty easily then I used some goo gone and it all came right off. Probably took me about 20-30 minutes or so.

Just know that there may be paint imperfections under the vinyl that they didn’t bother fixing at the factory.

I’m half tempted to try to have it repaired under warranty, but I know it would be a losing battle.

Ok quoting myself cause I am changing my mind, KIND OF... I think it looks good on a few of the colors, on others not so much.

To me, on Inferno, BBP, MGM, Barcelona Red, It looks good. White and Silver, don't look as good with it removed. Cement and Quicksand I could go either way. I think it looks better with it in some pics and without it in some pics.

It is crazy how much a simple thing like that could alter the appearance of a truck though. once you see it it gives the truck a different feel in my opinion.

Now I kind of understand how people can't recognize that Clark Kent is Superman just because he has glasses on...

The problem I had with it was, it was going to fade and it doesn't exactly match the tint on the windows. Then my OCD kicked in and noticed that it's not lined up quite right where the front door meets the rear door. My eye was constantly drawn to it, just like that shiny plastic badge on the driver door.

I get the OCD thing... In another thread I was asking if I can request that all the bars on my Prinsu rack be BLACK when I order it.. people were like "You can't even see the 1 silver bar" and my OCD was like...

I like the clean look of it removed and not really digging the way it connects the 2 windows. I’ll more than likely remove mine but want to wait to get my cap installed just Incase
