I have a damaged rear interior door panel in my 2015 TRD Off Road (see picture). I did this using a heat gun to try to repair some scratches in the panel. I very unwisely followed the instructions in a YouTube video explaining how to do this. So my question is - is there a vinyl paint that is color-matched to the Tacoma's interior that will allow me to cover that discoloration?

I would search a few local junk yards for the interior door panel. Paint aint going to cut it.

Well, I have scratches in the bed from carrying around all kinds of... poop. Maybe I should find a junk yard and swap it out for a not scratched one?

    Nah.
Doesn't hurt anything, so stop trying to mess with it. The more you mess with it, the worse it will get.

Not seeing the logic here. Beds get scratched and look like shit which makes sense, interior door panels shouldnt.

But yeah Im with ya, I would probably just leave it. The more you mess with stuff the more it tends to get messed up.

Logic is this; how do you think he got the scratches? Probably from loading scratchy cargo in the back seat. It happens. Use a truck like a truck and it will be a truck.

You will not be able to find a perfect paint match for that.

Duplicolor makes some great ones that might be close.
You’ll have to remove the whole panel and paint the whole peice or it will look shitty.

I like the idea of looking for a junkyard replacement. That’s what I would do.

Paint the section black, wrap in vinyl, it’s an easy fix... lots of cheap solutions.

Put a speaker in in the rear doors, sheet metal already has a hole or go with Tego Taco’s suggestion, all would be fine - mine are scratched as well - my be an access cab thing
