    Newbie question

What is it for? What’s it purpose?

    Why do people remove it?
It’s there benefits or problems if it is removed?
Is it suppose to be removed?

The sway bar keeps you from swaying on turns. They are usually disconnected when off roading to net more articulation (wheels can move up and down more than usual).

sway bars are also called stabilizer bars or anti-roll bars and things like that

people remove them to get more travel in their suspension off road.....if you're not specifically having that need, you're better off leaving it connected

Would removing it make a noticeable difference on road?

I just drove through Montana. Speed limit is 80 and there's often corner's that pop up on you. I wouldn't drive 2 miles without one up there.

yes, on-road. You'll feel loosey-goosey around turns at decent speed.

You could always remove it, try it, and then decide. It's not a permanent thing one way or the other.

I think the Wrangler Rubicons have had electronic disconnecting sway bars for a while now.....that way you could leave it connected most of the time and disconnect it when you off-road, same idea as the electronic locking diffs we have on the ORs and Pros

Yes you will notice the difference. If you run a softer suspension setup you will notice it more. If you off road often, it makes a HUGE difference. I personally prefer driving without the sway bar... but quick city turns and high speed turns you will notice its absence.

If potentially becoming DEAD is a noticeable difference, then yeah.
I was once driving a vehicle and had a sway bar link pop off MID TURN. Scary as hell when you end up driving on 2 wheels, but I managed to recover from it by steering out of the turn.

The sway bar off allows you to take much cooler Instagram photos though.
