Got a text saying it was delivered, so I took an early lunch break, went home and installed. My dog was wondering wtf was going on when I was leaving. But I didn't want it sitting out on the patio in a giant box. Very happy with it and will be planning out my molle setup this evening. I already told the Mrs She's getting a blanket up there, plan on fire extinguisher and I already have an IFAK that had been hanging from the grab bars already. I'll take some better photos on DSLR when it's set up correctly.

    Thanks again mesojdm!

Measured the rack and then started building a cart full of gear on Amazon (Currently at like $140 :anonymous:). Took the dimensions from each amazon item and then built to scale in illustrator according to the rack. I figured the heavy items should go closest to the mounting hardware, so the H2O & Fire extinguisher go on the canted sides. But This is the current plan for the rack. Please feel free to comment and give suggestions. I promised the Mrs. That she could have some slots up there too so the dump pouches will be used for stuffing rain gear and blankets in for longer road trips. I tried to place the dump pouches accordingly so if the babe is riding shotgun, she can reach back & left into her stuff from her seat and vice versa.

I'm not an affiliate, this is just what's in my cart and going with for the rack.

Can’t wait to see the load out.
For commonly used gear(flashlights, EDC, etc) I like to use pistol magnets affixed to said items. They are super strong and rock solid to the steel rack. Also rubber coated so won’t damage the rack finish. Something like this

Can also attach directly to the rack so metal items can stay attached without restraints

    Ooooh Good Find!

I've decided I'm going to take down the rack, lay everything out, then re-install with gear (empty) on there. Too much of a pain to try and weave molle with it installed. Also, for the 2nd gens, I haven't tried, and maybe I will for the sake of the greater good, but I think it would be possible to easily re-install the grab handles. However, I don't think I will as I don't want to add extra weight PLUS the grab handles.

Will probably order next week as all are prime and I'm traveling this weekend, but will keep TW updated.

Got mine installed. I didn't like the look of the Paracord handles I bought. so I modified the factory grab handles to work. I think they look pretty good. Love the rack, thanks Meso

Right on. If you don’t mind, what needed to be modified in order to affix the original grab handles? You are the first to do it and I’m sure others will want to as well.

@JimmyRigged88 can you provide more details/pics on how you attached the factory handles? Looks great and I'd like to copy :)

Sure thing, I just chopped the back flush and 3d printed an adapter to fit inside for the bolt. I did have to get some longer bolts, I went with 2 inch. I can upload the stl if anyone is interested.

Also cut the inside of the caps off so they could still be used.

I'd be very interested in getting my hands on some of those 3D printed adapters. @JimmyRigged88 any chance I can purchase a set of 4 from you?

Got my rack today!! Can’t wait to install tomorrow. Took a bit to get to NY, but always excited for an @mesojdm product!

Just a side note, Stew, my box was a little battered and coming apart by the time it reached me. Everything is totally fine and included, just wanted to let you know. Also I was very impressed with the PVC ingenuity!:thumbsup:

I’ve got the files from Jimmy(thanks again) and I plan to offer a kit to retain the overhead handles. I have been asked about it on a number of occasions, so now I’ll have a solution.
Glad you got it. Noted on the box, and as long as what’s inside wasn’t damaged I’d say it did it’s job!
