I was scoping out a 2014 TX BAJA version of the off-road. They wanted 40k for it OTD. They wouldn’t take my trade either. Got a brand new 17 Tacoma with every feature I wanted just by walking into a dealership. Gave me 1500 more than my trade was worth and walked out at 31k with the extended warranty.

Look around at different dealerships, and be patient. Write down exactly what you want and go from there. Like it's been stated,go to those websites and plug and play. I literally just went on KBB,plugged in what I was looking for with my information...not even 5 mins later I got two calls from the local dealers asking me to call back to talk about a Taco. Let them come to you, that way you have the upper hand and can haggle your way down to what is comfortable

I was going to ask the same thing last week...I picked up a 2017 TRD OR with about 7,000 on it for 29,000...nice package...the truck listed north of 33k and they "gave" me 1500 for my crappy, 2005 Chevy Classic with 120,000+ miles...needing a new front end after surviving an unscheduked meeting with a deer...didn't think I'd get close to those numbers looking at the online sites...think I got a decent deal...might have left a few $$$ on the table buying mid-month, but it was time...

This was a certified Tacoma with the tow package and 4x4.
