Anybody have a fix to make 12volt ports work continuously? I've seen in the 2nd gen they have a fix for it, not sure I like it very much. If it's still same kind of thing as far as relay and jamming it closed, I'd try to solder it closed. Or, is there a fuse or something that will fit into the relay slot to take the place of the relay? I can't stand 12v ports that aren't always on. If there's anybody that knows how to fix this w/o any potential electrical problems down the road, I'd sure appreciate it. Thanks.

There is definitely a thread with detailed instructions somewhere in the 3rd Gen Forum. It requires some work up under the dash and soldering.

I plan on a different route when I do this. I'm just going to run a hot wire straight from the battery or fuse box.
