And if all you have is a half inch, it’s important to be confident.

After another round of bloodwork indicating liver problems and a subsequent ultrasound, we've finally figured out what's been going on with Willy for the past couple of months.

Ultrasound revealed no tumor, but did show some liver damage (different tissue density) that they suggest has been there for a while now. Not sure what may have caused it. They don't think there's any cancer, but can't rule that out 100%. He had no symptoms until I started administering Carpofren (NSAD) for some mild arthritis back in Sept. Those NSADs are notorious for being hard on the liver, so that caused the flare up and subsequent symptoms of hepatic encephalopathy (toxins that the liver can't process affecting the brain...causing lethargy, lack of coordination, spaced out type of behavior). His liver isn't able to process all the toxins.

We're now treating with some meds, diet changes and milk thistle (helps liver regenerate). Crossing fingers we can get him back to normal in the coming weeks and get him off the meds. Right now he's switched to a prescription diet specifically for liver disease, but I'm hoping we can eventually get off the meds and on a regular food with less protein & fat than his regular food (Acana).

We're done hunting for the remainder of this season.

    Waiting for Ultrasound last Friday.

It has been recommended that we give one of our little pups milk thistle, but whatever was ailing her went away and she’s been great.

Hope that it helps Willy and he’s back to himself soon.

The V looks good in the weather.

Made some filet mignons for the wife at 11:30pm as she just got home from KC, Missouri on business. Sides where asparagus, baked potato and jalepeno bread.
