If I built that, I'd need two bags while selling it....one to cover my face and one in case the first one breaks.

Sorry to hear about this fire up in Paradise. Two years ago I helped my buddy move up there and remodel his house. Yesterday while at the beach I got the call from my buddy saying his house is most likely gone and his horrific escape. This brings back recent memories. My parents house burned down last year here in Santa Rosa, and ever since has been a roller coaster with insurance. Don't trust them is my advice, do not take the first offer, know what you are worth, this is not your fault and you should be accounted for!! IF anyone is has been affected by this fire and wants advice reach out. I hate that I have this experience, but helping someone else through these shitty times is worth it. It is just stuff, it will take time, you will rebuild yourself.

P.S. Come on down to Trader Joes 11/16 on Cleveland Ave in Santa Rosa for the grand reopening! It been a long year trying to reopen and it s finally happening!!

My former Employeer the CHP last 2 Explores up there got trapped by the fire, Offices had to run for their lives, Lot of vehicles trapped up on back roads will probably find many bodies. I had to drive through something like than a few years ago, one of scariest feeling you can have. Lot of retirees and elderly live up in Paradise and like Santa Rosa fire it moved so fast. Used to be only SoCal had these fires but with the desire to live with scenery and peaceful places along with the climate this things will happen in NorCal more frequently. I know of places east of Sacramento that are prime candidates for this tragedy.

Do you think it's too soon to try and organize a caravan of Tacomas with supplies to take up to the evacuees? I would think we could get a lot of supplies into a half dozen Tacos, or so. I'd be more that happy to go buy a truck load of stuff if I knew where to take it. Are there drop off spots? Where are all the evacuees being housed, or are they all on their own? My wife is devastated by this and wants to help, as well.

Things are so scattered right now but never to Soon in an emergency situation.
The red Cross closed the shelter in Chester and they are going to Chico with their supplies. Tehama and plumas counties are in Chester at the recreation hall for people who are displaced. Tree hots and a cot all donated supplies one could need.

I am going to Palo Cedro to my employers shop with a fifth wheel trailer. I'll be relocating to there till we get word or the ok to return to our property.

I'd definitely be in. This fire is only a few miles from my house in Oroville. Me and my gf will be donating $ and supplies to a few ppl we know today but will definitely join in. We are going to pack bags just in case the fire starts to head our way.

Very horrible situation for thousands of people. All the hotels, churches, shelters here in Oroville are all full. People are donating/lending trailers and even their property for people to stay at.

Unfortunately this area is not a financially well off area so I'm doubtful that people have huge bank accounts to live off of now that their houses are gone.

I will be out gathering supplies today and anything anyone can do to help would mean a lot for these people who only have the clothes on their backs now.

Probably is a little soon to take anything up there until its organized a bit more but hey, I'm on-board with lending a hand. Let me know if you get something going and I can swing by a costco and load up on water/canned goods/fruit/etc. and head up with you.

Also have bags of clothes which do not fit my son anymore (ranging from 6mo-2T I believe). A few bags of my wife's scrub tops/pants which she doesn't wear anymore. Many of the toddler outfits were barely worn. I know its just clothes but they are available and ready for someone who has lost everything.
