Anyone in the SLC area have a Tactrix cable? I'm in Orem, specifically.

Dealer won't do it for me, so I'm trying to flash the B04 update (TSB-0058-18).
Paid the $65 for two day TS access, assuming my Chinese cable would work (I've used it for settings before), but it doesn't qualify apparently.
I'd prefer not to pay that full Tactrix price, but I'm happy to pay a reasonable "rental" fee.

    Thanks.

Might be worth trying a different dealer. I only mentioned a bit of acceleration and shifting problems and Tony Divino in Riverdale looked up and did the TSB update without me specifically mentioning it.

I travel to SLC for work on occasion. If I’m out that way soon, I’ll try to check in on you and see if you’ve gotten it done yet.

Good to know. Maybe I'll try up there.

I'm done with Brent Brown. Last time I took my truck in there, they lied to me multiple times, including about even looking at it.
Blasted them on every possible site you can submit reviews on...

I called Mark Miller and just based on a quick conversation, it didn't sound like I'd have much luck with them either.
Karl Malone, I couldn't even get someone on the phone to ask...

If possible I try to avoid going to dealership service departments, but since it is the two years of free service I figured I would take advantage of it. After being on Tacomaworld a bit I was worried that it would be a horrible experience but based on my single experience with Tony Divino in Riverdale I was pleasantly surprised. Who knows if I will think the same after repeated visits.

Agreed - same mindset here. I'm doing my own maintenance now that I've used up the free services.

Not sure if you're still looking for the update, but my friend had luck taking in his 18' to Larry H. Miller and getting the update done. I have to get my truck serviced in 1k miles...so I will be going there to have my service done and hopefully get the TSB done as well.

Larry H Miller in Murray was great handling some warranty claims and stuff for me, no questions asked. Called for an appointment, and picked it up same day. no hassle, no fuss, sign here, $0 cost to me.

This was after Brent Brown told me bad wheel bearings weren't covered under warranty, despite me having the warranty book out and open, showing him the text where it explicitly said it was.

    Appreciate the feedback.
I've had too much going on the past month and a half to get to this, but I'll have to set up an appt up there.

I’ll have to try Larry H Miller. Mark Miller downtown refused to do it, even after having done it for someone else.

What's the secret to getting somebody on the phone at LHM???
Literally 10+ attempts and only got to somebody in service one of those times, at which point they essentially told me to call back later.
