I live out in Duluth MN. Anybody on the forum from the area?

    A couple topics for discussion:
    - where did you buy?
    - where do you service?
    - do you get offroad?
    - Tow?
    - like your truck?
    - have owned previous toyota trucks?

I have a 2016 DCSB TRD Offroad. Purchased in late 2016 it has been a terrific buy. I am a YES to all the above items. Feel free to inquire where/what.

    Let me know your experiences!!!!!

I live across the bridge(s). Douglas and Bayfield counties are full of logging trails and forest service roads.

I bought mine in Ashland, but have it serviced at Kari, in Superior, and that's where I'll buy my next one. I love this truck!

I went to school in Duluth. Kolar was great about the drive line service bulletin extension even with a lifted truck. I service it myself more the most part. There are alot of forest trails/roads up the northshore about an hour from duluth. Bought used from Boucher GMC in Milwaukee. I tow a 17.5 ft smokercraft, but hard to compare the 4.0 5spd to the 3rd gen transmission as they are different animals.

I go to school here in Duluth. I've gone to the Iron Range OHV area in Gilbert but your will need a sticker ($38 for three years) for that. Pretty tight trails there though. If you are ever looking to get out and wheel let me know!

1st post! Woot! Been lurking on here for months but saw this thread and made an account. I'm a future UW-Superior student (I move in June 1st). Bought my truck in Alaska when I got back from deployment, had it serviced there but normally do most of the work myself. I've owned quite an array of 4x4's (Toyota has become my brand of choice) currently my previous rigs include:
    -3 22re pickups
    -1 94 80 series on 35s (no lockers)
    -1st gen land rover discovery
    -2 Mitsubishi Monteros
    -2 Geo Trackers

2nd gen Taco takes the cake to me. Great MPG and utility with awesome reliability. I drove the Alaska highway with mine and had zero issues. I tow my 1000# Polaris side by side with my 2.7 Taco regularly. Been to Uwharrie with mine as well. Looking forward to wheeling around Duluth! Anyone know any good spots? The hills downtown are insane my 4 banger hates them lol I need to hurry up and put my LCE header on I need all the torque I can get!

Mostly stock with a few minor mods.
My father-in-law lives in Duluth and gets all of his Toyotas from Kari. The guy has lived in Duluth his whole life and has never owned a 4x4 vehicle. He's had about 4 Camrys in a row now but always 2 wheel drive sedans.

Anyway, I'm an hour west in Grand Rapids. I do all my own work so it hasn't seen anything but a tire shop since I bought it at Luther in Brooklyn Park 5 years ago.

No wheeling (that's what my motorcycles and atvs are for) but I do hunt up in the big woods near Brimson and drive the logging trails around there a bit.
