Went from 3rd Gen Taco to 3GT4R to 2nd Gen Taco and finally a V8 4GT4R.
If there is anyone in need of any clothing I have some in my closet that I have been saving so I can "lose weight" and hopefully fit them again but I don't think its going to happen.

Sorry for going missing. My brother has two kids 13 yr boy, 9 yr girl who were with their mother (my brothers ex wife) at the time. They still have everything from there mom’s house and are largely ok with everything. My brother, his wife and dog are still in Chico with her parents. As of now he said they are ok and hasn’t excepted anything from anybody in the family or elsewhere.
He feels very lucky that his wife had their dog with her in Chico at the time of the fire. My brother was also not home but seperate from her and closer to home when he tried to make it back/out the fire was already too overwhelming to make it to the house.
My brother is the least materialistic person I know and could care less if he wears the same clothes for weeks at a time as long as he’s fed and his family is ok. He’s grateful for where he is at now and is more concerned with helping others in the community at this point. He said it’s too early to make linen plans and they’re taking it a day at a time.
Myself and my family are overwhelmed with the generosity of everyone here to offer so much.

I have a friend who’s a retired fire captain who lives in Placerville, and he he texted me some info about what’s happening up north of Paradise today:

My “son” was in charge of the Magalia area for the last 24 hours he says it’s not good up there either——

Just talked with him and it looks like Magailia is half gone, he told me they lost whole blocks at a time.—-
He tired and not to happy to have found several bodies. Probably a few beer sessions in our future.

It’s crazy, I grew up in paradise from the age of 12 until I graduated HS. It will be very sad going back up there after all this. My sister and brother in law are staying with us right now. They were telling us about evacuating and it looking like it was midnight in the middle of the day because of all the smoke blocking out the sun.

@CalTacoma09 is there anything we can help you guys out with? I'm planning on making a run up to the fire area with donations etc... but you're family, so if there is something we can do, let us know.

I think we are good right now. We are making arrangements to fit everyone in the house. My brother and sister in law just found out that their home is gone. So that sucks :(

Ok... so Jen and I are planning on heading up to Oroville, Chico, etc this coming Saturday. We are going to take supplies and donations up to some of the shelters.

Between donated items we are collecting from friends and family... new pillows... hygiene products etc, it looks like we are going to have more than the Taco can hold.

Who else is in for a road trip towards the Camp Fire next weekend? And who else is in for collecting items to take?

Some items the shelters are needing are...
    Adult wipes
    Baby wipes
Pillows --- Wal Mart has pillows for $2.50 ea
    Diapers
    Bath towels
    Sweat Shirts - XL
    Sweat pants - XL
    Shoes
    Jackets
    Mens t-shirts - L & XL
    Hats - (probably knit type)
    Gloves
    Larger mens underwear
    Razor blades
    Shaving cream
    Nail clippers

Amazon has a lot of hygiene products for cheap. I think I posted some links. Also search:
bulk --> (shaving cream or wipes etc)

I've been following Air Quality numbers and the numbers I was seeing yesterday for the CHICO area were puzzling. I figured something must have knocked the monitors out. All of the readings were the same and off the scale for Particulate Matter 2.5. The readings were in the 650 range. That is nothing short of full blown respirator environment - not talking N95 masks either. Seeing the above video, yeah - those numbers must have been spot on. Unreal. I have a little one and cannot even begin to imagine the sheer terror knowing that the air was beyond hazardous. Hell, I've had 3 Blue Air HEPA machines running round the clock and I've only seen it getting into the 180-190 range here in the East Bay.

For those interested, here is a snapshot from the GOES16 bird from this morning sunrise until about 1440 today... (may be data intensive for some connections so give it a second to load completely - loop will play automatically)

Here's something to think about. By yesterday, at noon, the Camp Fire had only been burning for essentially 2 1/2 days... it had already burned an area larger than the entire State of Rhode Island.
