Lower bulk head rail assembly?

    Across the cab side of the bed is a rube that’s bolted to the bed. This thing (photo from another TW thread):

    The bed sides are lower than it so there is a step down. I’m not sure if this is better or worse than the 2nd gen whose bed sides were higher than the bulkhead. Has anyone found a replacement that makes the header the same height as the bed sides? Preferably something that doesn’t have huge gaps on either side?

    It does suck.

    If you remove it, you will find some foam tape on the bottom side. I peeled it off and used some silicone to seal it. It make a very small but noticable to me difference.
