I saw my drunk neighbor stumble across the street and get hit by an older VW bug doing at least 25mph, I thought it was a big dog at first for the fur coat she was wearing. She flew over the car and landed on her rear, saying “ow, what the hell was that?!” She just got up and walked back to her house. I was only a kid back then when it happened, too scared of her to say anything. Weirdest thing I ever saw.

the arb looks good with the fender wrap around supports. but still a big hole where those grill lights are, and radiator n coolers would be toast. Had a doe go into grill right there on an '88 ford ranger. Magically did not get radiator. deluxe-bull-bar-bumper-toyota-10-tacoma.jpg

I have had several near misses going through the mountain passes between ID and UT. I go 2 to 3 times a month so I have seen my share of deer hits, close calls, and bad accidents in the winter.

I live in the deer strike capital of the US. Our county has the highest deer population by area of any county.
For those of you who think mounting extra lights on your truck will help? No. You could mount the Sun on your truck and it wouldn't help. Most strikes happen as the deer runs out of the brush at the exact moment you drive by. You can't see them even in daytime. Good luck out there.

I beg to differ...we have deer herds of 6 or 7 at a time...Parks and Wildlife trap average of 140 per year in nets just in a 7 square mile area, and does not make a dent. Another problem; locals know its against the law, but spread deer corn for little Bambi. Look at it the other way....deer were here a million years before us!

Beg to differ? Really. Your state didn't even make the top 10.

Almost hit a deer on my motorcycle coming home from work one day. Locked the rear wheel and the bike went sideways. The deer got confused and started running in place with no traction. Missed it by that much. Didn't drop the bike. Stopped in town for a beer until the shakes stopped.
