Did you check the SWR Standing Wave Ratio on that Fire Stick? Fire Stick antenna's are ground plane antenna's meaning they have to be mounted to a metal part of the vehicle. A washer and a wire from the antenna mount to a metal part of the vehicle will probably do. If you have high SWR >2:1 you will reflect the RF current back into the transistors of the CB with eventual premature failure of the transistors.

 

I was going to do that eventually, But I am in no rush because I've used it.....maybe..... 3 times??? My buddies actually use it more than me

Yes I do... Along with the black wheels. I just re-did my grille, so it looks a little cleaner.
