    Hey All,

I just picked up a pair of Squadron Pros to be used as ditches and had a few questions before I get into the install.

    1. Included in the box was a wiring harness. It has two sections, one that ties the two lights together which I have already cut up and extended and the other section that ties into the switch and battery with an inline fuse. I noticed that this harness does not have a relay, only a 15A inline fuse, do I need another harness with a relay?
    2. Regardless of whether I do or don't need a new harness, I plan on wiring this into my Blue Sea Fuse Panel. Is that as simple as cutting off the inline fuse, adding a ring terminal and connecting it to the panel?
    3. I did order a CH4x4 switch, any helpful hints for wiring this up and making this a clean electrical install?
    Thanks in advance.

Neither of my Squadron sets came with relays. I added them myself. 20w sport are less than 4 amp and 40w Pro are just over 6 amps. Keep in mind the Ch4x4 switch can’t handle the amps from the light circuit anyways- they need a relay.

There is a fuse for the switch, it takes a 3A and can be wired with an add a circuit? Correct? And the lights have their own fuse? Sorry I’m new to lighting

Putting the power that the lights need through the ch4x4 switch will burn it out. By using a relay you are closing the light circuit, with the switch circuit. That’s what relays do.

Use the inline 30 amp fuse close to the positive off the battery, then to the relay, then to the lights, then to ground.

Use an addafuse to get your 12v power to the ch4x4, then to the relay, and then to ground.

I used the addafuse on the high beam that way my lights only work with the high beams.
