I 'started a conversation', I guess that's a PM. Thanks for the pics. I'll take first hand experience over an opinion any day of the week.

I'm having a hard time following your site. Under 'Shackle Options', do I need 'Poly Bushings for stock 3.4" shackles', 3.6" fabbed, or 4.5" fabbed for the 2" dakar leaf pack at the below link? Or do I need them at all? Honestly, 380 bucks is doable, but if I need to start adding $140 addons for a shackle setup it starts to become nickel and diming.

I recommend reusing the stock shackles and keeping the rubber bushings in them

I'll message you the TW discount

I'm in then, I can't pass up the offer of a better on-road ride at a reasonable price. Thanks Archive!

Wow you’re right, your back was way up there in that first pic. Going to call headstrong and see what she has in way of options. Thanks for the pics, that was helpful. Truck looks awesome by the way, looking for a very similar look.

Ended up with 6112 at 5/6 with an ICON 3 leaf aal with 5160's in the back. The truck is perfectly level with a SDHQ 10k hidden winch up front, which brought my front down 1/2" to begin with. I don't want level though, I want a little rake. Fortunately I have the Archive Hangers on order that will give 1/4-3/8 lift in the back which will be perfect. I chickened out and went 265 70 17 wild peaks instead of 285's. SCS Gun metal sr8 17's. Pics soon! Thanks for the tips

You'll get better mpg and acceleration with the 265's. Hammer hangers getting welded very soon

I know I will, but 285's look great. Didn't want the mpg/acceleration/rubbing/CMC hassle. Maybe next set...

Because the stock shackle hangers are so flexible and flimsy, it is like your springs are bolted to another spring. This inhibits rear end composure and is the reason Tacomas right off the dealer lot have that jittery feeling over harsh high g bumps on the road like expansion joints and pot holes.
Plus the stockers bend when you hit them on a rock.

So yes, every 2005+ Tacoma will gain some ride improvement. For most people the ride quality improvement is dramatic

Great job Turd Hawg. Looks great, and the 265s dont look so bad as people have said.....

I wonder how they feel vs. The 285s. I have the same size wheels but of course in 285 70 fashion.
