Do this spring isolators that come with this kit have a groove for the top of the spring to fit in or is it just flat. I just installed my 5100's with 885's and on side looks like it should while the other side looks a little squished unevenly? I will get a pic when I get home. Even if it is grooved and mine is not in it, will that affect anything like ride height. I'm getting an alignment on saturday so If i need to do this, I need to do it before then and only have the time after work to do it. I'm debating if i want to get a spring compressor again and just redo that one side but it will be a waste of time if I take it apart and it's just flat on the bottom of the spring isolator and not grooved for the top of the coil to seat in.
    Thanks

I figured it out, there are no grooves on the bottom but there are indentations on the top for the top hat bolts. I brain farted and didn't double check since they came already attached to the top hat and just threw them on. I'll fix this later but I don't think it's something needing to be addressed now right?

I have that same KYB top hat kit and am installing some factory springs on 5100 struts using that kit. There are three bolts on the top hat that attach the top of the strut assembly to the truck. How do I know that those three bolts are in the proper alignment with the hole that attaches the bottom of the strut to the truck? I am seriously confused by how this needs to be assembled.

The 3 bolts are evenly spaced, so just have 2 of them facing out and one (the point) facing the truck while the bottom of the shock is aligned with the shock mount. When you take out your old one, just set it up the same way.
