Didn’t Toyota release a memo or is stating to the dealers that the weeping is now “normal” and unless fluid is actually leaking out that all they are doing now is retorquing the bolts? OR’s weren’t included in the recall but most of them seem to have the weep. Mines has the weeping, just never brought it in yet for them to do. My luck they’ll drop the carrier and I’ll start getting drive train vibes or something. I’m at about 30k now so I’ll take it in for a few things before I’m out of my base coverage.

The updated TSB says "any weeping is considered leaking" and requires replacing the bolts and upping the torque values. My '18 OR was fixed under warranty, no questions asked.

All I know is this is the first tsb I’m actually affected by and hopefully they fix it the first time

You should not even need the TSB, Dealer will fix it either way under Warranty

This is true, but I know the tsb gives the dealer some direction on what to do instead of going in blind

in not sure there is a TSB, just probably the recall on the “effected models” OR not being one of them. Anyways found this from the recall I believe.

Must of just been a memeber getting told by the dealer that a weep wasn’t considered a leak and Toyota said they weren’t doing anymore repairs on the ones that had slight weeping. I definitely remember reading that somewhere.

The visual proof is more than enough. Don’t waste your time or printer ink printing it out. If they act up at the dealership immediately call corporate.

Did this actually stop the weeping? My 17 OR looks like it also has the weep.

Same, but mine started leaking again, so they resealed the whole thing all over again. Keep an eye out, I suspect it’ll leak from same place

Mines been good for a while now. I forget how long ago I had this addressed. I'd have to check my records. I check it every time I'm under my truck.

I printed out the TSB, handed it to my service writer, said “mine looks exactly like this” as I pointed to the appropriate picture, and looked at him.

I didn’t even mention warranty. He knew I knew what I was talking about, and just got it done.

The weeping diff was not a tsb. It's a recall.
