I received a letter from Toyota yesterday stating that they have enhanced the warranty on the frames of our trucks! I purchased my truck a few months back and the original owner informed me that in 2017 he took it in for the frame recall. It past and had the CRC (corrosion resistant compound) applied to the frame. I called my local dealer regarding the letter I received and they told me to come in to have it re-inspected regardless if it was already checked or had the undercoating applied. I was told if it does not pass a second time I will get a new frame. I actually started doing some cleaning on my frame and begun undercoating it myself a couple weeks back. There was one spot in particular that I was concerned about. It is located just below the passengers floorboard on the inside of the frame it looks as this was a factory hole that started to rust badly as seen in the pictures.
It looks as though this extension will be for vehicles that are affected in "cold climate States" I'll find out today if it passes or fails.

You may want to reconsider having your frame replaced at the dealership. As you can see from several photos they did damaged to the under body of my cab. I'm assuming this happened when they lifted the cab off the frame. They tried using vice grips or some other type of device to straighten and bend back the lower spot welded section where the body is crimped together. They didn't even bother to clean it up, repaint it or even undercoat the inside which would allow it to rust from all the exposed metal. They also left multiple fasteners broke and replaced them with zip ties! In one of the pictures you can see the frame where the bump stop is supposed to be, they are both missing. They didn't even bother fastening the vent tubes back on the inside of the inner fender well, they just left it hanging out by the front suspension. They also had clips and fasteners broke inside the engine compartment, one was leaning right towards the manifold where I can get melted. I purchased SPC upper control arms and they said they could install them and align it but they would have to charge me a for the alignment due to the camber and caster adjustment that these control arms have. they said they had it on the rack three times and couldn't get it to align properly but they said it was okay. "It's only off by half a degree" they said, but as you can see in the picture my front passenger wheel is leaning out at the top, probably 1" or more than it is at the bottom.
They are now going to send it to a body shop to have the repairs done and then back to their shop to finish up all the things they did wrong. I had a whole list for them to go over.
    Totally disgusted with this dealership!!!!
