can a 35in tire clear with a 5in lift on a 2016 Tacoma offroad? I have a 18 by 9 fuel rim with a -12 offset currently running 33’s and seem to have a lot of room with my 4in lift

I was running 33” with same setup basically. 4” Lift. I just installed 6” BDS Suspension System with 35s and I’m sitting at approximately and I clear. However, I will most likely do the CMC because I have the plates already and that way there is no question with Off Road use. I doubt a 5” Lift would clear without trimming but each truck is different.

Ok I was going to run the 35’s on but didn’t want to do major trimming on the frame so I thought I’d add an inch an maybe it’ll clear a little better and only do minor trimming I would love to go to 6 but I need to clear my parking structure.. if you might know how high is your truck from the ground to the top of that shark fin on the roof

I will have to measure. I believe I’m at 7 1/2” of Ride Height. I’ll get the measurement tonight if I can

I have the same size and offset wheels as you with 35x12.5 tires and BDS 6” coilovers. I left the coilovers at the height it came in and didn’t crank it up at all. It rubbed at first when turning and slight flex. I did cmc and some minor trimming on front bumper and rear of fender. It doesn’t rub anymore when off-roading.

I'm a little confused as to what you're asking... you have a 4 inch lift but are asking if 35's will fit on a 5 inch lift? assuming this is the case are you planning on adding a block to get another inch or upgrading to a 5-6 inch lift? be careful going too high without a drop bracket up front. i know there are several people on here with 35's running on a 3+ inch lift. i currently have 33s on a 3 but could easily go to 35s with a little cutting. it's all about how much you want to mod you're truck... if you haven't considered the down side to 35s you should really consider re-gearing or you may not like the results in power with 35s...
