Naw it doesn’t. But it is federally mandated that all vehicles (by a certain year) have all this safety stuff. Toyota, well most manufacturers, are just getting a head start.

A back step for when I get older, Carhartt seatcovers, 4Runner wheels, Topper, and "tats all folks"! --for now!!
Our 15 Subie Outback has been great with it's "eyesight" system. I should have waited and got it on my Tacoma, but I found a buyer for my "thirsty" 02 F150. and went with my 17.
The Subaru system has only went off line a couple of times --extreme fog and very-very heavy rain. I am a little wary of the "radar" the Toyotas use, although I have driven a 18 Camry and it functioned as well as the Subaru.

I was driving in front of my wifes Rav4 with TSS and I was in a car in front of her. I wasn't paying 100% attention and didn't brake in time for the car in front of mine. Her TSS noticed the car in front of mine stopping abruptly and warned her before I touched my brakes ( I could hear the system over bluetooth). This can only be done via radar.

As techs we have all found the car's TSS is much more effective than the trucks. I think there was a lot of leniency put into the systems on the trucks. I would almost consider disabling the TSS on a truck if I had a 18+

I got my grille surround on ebay. Its called an "SR grille bezel/surround" but you can order one from toyota as well, it's around $90. As far as the bumper caps, a lot of people are painting them but I'm waiting to get a product from this company called bumper shellz, it's a plastic painted cap that snaps over the existing caps and spares you dissasembling the bumper. Its thin, so you can't tell they're on top of the stock caps, and there are color options

I agree. The pro grill thing is largely in our heads. If Toyota had put the SR5 grill on the TRD pro, that would probably be the grill everyone would want. I have an 18 off road with the blackened cheese grater grill and have been thinking I'll replace the bezel. Been trying to find a picture of that to no avail so far. It would have to look better than the chrome.

Here is the link to the thread about the bumper shellz https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/3rd-gen-tacoma-bumper-covers-color-suggestions.559617/.
I had them on my old truck and they work really good and they're easy to install. BTW congrats on the purchase

I got my black bumper end caps from Rockauto. $112 for the pair delivered. I wanted to replace the chrome with an equal part and not use a cap that fits over the chrome ones. And Plasti-Dip ain't my thing.

I was wondering how my rims would look with some AT type tires. Now I know
