Has anyone built up a "toolbox" shelving kinda thing in a non commercial cap? I want to build one for my Leer 100XR but not sure how to go about it.

nope very easy....few of the bolts didnt have enough threads showing to use the eye bolt, but enough of them worked to hang the net!

Yeah, I had that same issue. I just took the stock nut/cap off to expose more thread since the ring nut is going to hold the bolt in and that gave me plenty of room to screw the ring all the way in.

100XR. The rear window is the obvious factor. I think that’s the best looking rear window on the market. I’ve hear people not liking, or having problems, with it leaking and the single lever mechanism. It sure looks good, though!

Thanks, and I agree, definitely the look I'm hoping for. My mind is playing tricks on me, you have a short bed, right? I have a 2018 DCSB OR Cement Gray so I'm trying to visualize what it'll look like with a shell - yours seems to be the closest match.

Have you had any difficulties with leaking or the mechanism? Is the mechanism just prone to failure or rather just a single point of failure over two?

Damn, clearly not awake yet; my apologies.

Regardless, would love input from anyone that has the shell!

I have an XR. It's been great so far. No problems with leaking through any of the windows, and the single twist mechanism for the rear window works fine. I had a snugtop brand on my last truck with the similar single spring latch in the center, and it worked fine for years.

I do think there are more moving parts to potentially fail than in the two twist handle setup.

This is what I was reffering to, my strut bracket just decided to pop out, the geometry never seemed right on that one.

Anybody have an are cx classic with the aluminum framed sliding window? Not the sliding window with corner fascia

I ordered without the corner fascia, it’s on my build sheet, it’s what the dealer was to quote. They didn’t order it that way though. I emailed the dealer with the build spec sheet and called to ask if they are looking into it. The installer was the only one in the shop so he was telling me that I “got the higher version/upgrade” I told him with corner fascia was standard. He explained without is a lesser and is prone to leaks and sometimes the aluminum frame doesn’t sit tight against the fiberglass.

I had the fascia on my old truck and it kind of bugged me so when I seen the option without I thought it was a cleaner look and would match better to the cab windows.
