And now the wife is stuck on Antioch Road in Haymarket.. Ha. All my fault still. I guess I'll be buying trading in her FWD car in February when home again and getting her an AWD Sedan or Small SUV.

Luckily a firefighter friend that's on the same shift as her lives just a few minutes away... He is apparently on the way to get her unstuck and then pull her car up our private driveway so she can get the truck.

Since work is closed for 2 extra hours, and everyone is scared to drive, I might as well go out for some snownuts..

That would be my pick, but let's be honest... it won't be up to me. She was already talking about a small SUV and she likes the Equinox for some reason. I hate them. We will see..

Have you seen the new Subaru ascent? It’s pretty nice. I love my subie in the snow with good tires, as I was flying past everyone this morning.

Suburus are cool, but I'd rather have this:

If I needed an awd wagon.

Saw a suburban slide into oncoming traffic. Luckily they dodged the vehicle coming towards em. Slick but manageable if you're careful.

I'm on the Subaru website now :rofl:

I really like the Crosstrek and told her that every time we saw one when I was home in Oct... much to her dismay and dirty looks since it got old

But unfortunately, I don't make decisions, I make payments...

Ha! The outback is even better. Much more luxurious inside. Get her in a limited trim and she’ll love it.

    Maybe.

    A thing or two...
Same in the WRX when I could find an opening in the people riding the fast lane matching the slow lane speed.

My old man has an Outback and I love it.. she says she isn't a soccer mom and she doesn't like them.Understandable since she isn't a mom at all but maybe I can talk her into a Crosstrek or Impreza.

Maybe this’ll help. I know it’s put on my Subaru so it’s biased, but a cool video

I’ve never driven a Subaru but Honda has decent AWD. My mom has a pilot and it’s actually solid in the snow. Plus their adaptive cruise control is amazing. I’m sure Acura is the same if she wants to go with one of those.

Bahaha! Hopefully that improves MPGs for you!

I don't but I will make the trip. Maybe motocamp outside of the city while you go in.

When I looked at a house in that "neighborhood," the driveway was so steep and gravelly that I had to use 4wd to get up it - and that was in the summer with no snow! She will definitely need that 4wd/awd just for these situations.

All I am going to hear from her is "I should have never sold my truck!" Hahaha.. but yet she did to conserve on gas and get a car because she drives a lot.
