Hi. I’m obviously new here. New to Tacos as well. Picked up a really clean 09 access cab that I want to upgrade. I’d like a double din with Navi built in and add some speakers and an amp. Bluetooth is necessary as well. I’m a motorcycle guy but I need a 4 wheel vehicle for practicality on occasion. Divorce has forced the purchase of a cage as I call them for myself only as I have been sharing a car with ,y wife for over 10 years due to my limited need and use of one.

    What I want is simple.

    Reliable and quick navigation.
An upgraded backup camera on the double din screen.
High quality audio (speakers and amp)
Bluetooth and plug in for charging capabilities
Any and all necessary wiring harness’
Any all necessary dash trim pieces etc
I’ll install myself with the help of a friend who helps me with all my audio needs

I don’t mind spending some dough if it yields better sound quality, however it would be nice to have a budget. Considering I don’t know anything about car audio I’m not sure what budget I have yet. I’m picky about my audio. I have nice finals on one of my motorcycles and the other has Rockford amp and some other brand of fancy speakers. Been 5 years so I do not remember what brand.

What I am looking for is simplicity of use, a fast gps and reliability along with what I said above. If you could point me to existing threads that would be great but do many are so old that I am sure there are far more options available nowadays. Links are appreciated for products, install and ev rything else I need.

Thanks for the help in advance. I see a obsession on the horizon with my new tome 10 year old truck.

    Drew

If you're primarily driving in an area with good cell service and you have a smart phone, a headhunt with apple CarPlay/android auto would work fine.

If you're in an area with bad cell service, thats when you want a unit with Navigation.

I suggest you go into a local shop and play with a few head units and listen to what they have on their display board. And don't let then trick you into buying anything, do your research.
