I got the Thule Areo Blades and they are as silent as the night when going down the highway. I'm going to be throwing a RTT up there one of these days... One of the hardshell tents but waiting for a holiday sale or something, hopefully...

This is exactly what I’m in the market for, would you mind telling me what you paid for that shell?

Just got a snugtop rebel installed on my 2016 dcsb and it's leaking water pretty bad all along the side rails and down to the bed. This is just with my truck sitting in the driveway and not driving in the rain. Any suggestions on how to fix this??

Did you do anything to seal the top front corners of your bed before they installed the cap? I folded up some cardboard and then caulked around it to seal it. I had read on here before that this area was a problem area for leaks. I haven’t had any issues in over a year of having my cap. I don’t have any pics of the area I’m talking about. But I’ll look at my previous posts to see if I can find the thread I saw it in.

This seriously should not be an issue. The SnugTop dealer that installed the shell should have ensured things were sealed properly. When you buy a SnugTop you pay a premium and leaking shouldn't be happening.

I will say on mine I had a backflip tonneau that came with this foam pad that installed in-between the headboard and the truck bed that seals it pretty well. The SnugTop dealer told me they were going to leave it on there when installing my cap because it was cleaner than caulking. I haven't had any leaks whatsoever ever on my shell since I got it. Sorry to hear that yours is but the dealer can fix that no prob.

The dealer put some stuff in there that looked like play dough sort of? It seems to be leaking from the front and also from the back by the tailgate and then the water wicks on the carpet by the side rails and just gets soaked and drips everywhere. Pretty frustrating that's for sure

Do you have windoors? I noticed mine had water coming in after a couple months. The carpeted rails under the windoors were soaked after driving through a rain. I noticed some play in the latch for the windoors. I adjusted the latch so that when you turned the handle it really pulled the windoor in tight.

Also, I had an issue with dust/water getting in around the tailgate when driving so I added a tailgate seal kit from Amazon. It worked great. Really seals it up and nothing gets in anymore. Hope this helps! I’ll see if I can find the link to that tailgate seal.

Edit: looks like the product I bought back in February is no longer available.

I don't have windoors and the water doesn't seem to be coming in from the windows on the sides. I installed a tailgate seal and that seems to help a little bit. But, from what I can see - the water is coming down the sides of the back window of the canopy, hitting the top of the tailgate and being pushed towards the outside (by the side rails) and hitting the carpet of the canopy somewhere and then wicking across the whole side rails.

Ah ok. One thing I noticed on my leer is that I have to adjust the latch “catch plate” on the inside of the shell for the back glass. After a few months of driving I noticed that the back glass wasn’t fully pressed up against the weatherstripping when latched. I adjusted the catch plate on the driver side way more than the passenger side. Now the door shut snug to the weatherstripping. And the piece that hits the tailgate is firmly snug too. I have to slam it closed to get it to latch. I have to adjust them every few months. They tend to loosen themselves over time. Need to just throw some threadlocker on those bolts.

It’s the plate with the hoop on it that the back glass latches to. Not sure if that is the proper term but that’s just what I called it lol. I’ll grab a pic of mine later this morning.

I love the look on yours. In the market for the same shell and thinking of putting the new ikamper xcover on it. I was quoted 1850 for Leer 100xr. Did you add stuff to yours?

    Big tires
Curt tire carrier that I chopped up and welded back together so it hinged and gave more Clarence. I forget where I bought it from.

The tire also makes a nice step when down.
