Are we posting license plate pics now?

 

I tore my dash apart today to figure out why I could change the temp on the heater controls. Turns out to be the cable running to the valve thing under the hood that opens and closes flow to the heater core. The cable is stiff and tight as shit, even after my best attempts to lubricate it and get it freed up. Time to see if I can order another one and tear the dash apart again once I have one. No so fun. I also replaced the missing vent direction thingy on the passenger side while I was in there. Got one off ebay from a 4Runner but it seems that the ends that allow it to tilt are slightly too small and it just flops around in there. Oh well, at least it isn't an empty hole any more and now I know how to take the dash apart. Fun times.

I choose to blur my plate (and those for my friends) because it's none of your business what my plate number is. I am also well aware that anything I post and say will exist forever on the web. If you want to judge me for this behavior, I am ok with that too and wont judge you for it.

 

Ok, sorry if I hurt your feelings, I just find it strange that people see my plates everywhere I go. For me I don't see the problem with it but I guess some people do.

 

4" from standard Dakars? That's odd...the standards are only supposed to lift the rear 2.5 - 3"...you sure they aren't heavy duty with added leaves? That's strange

 

hahaha. No worries. My skin is way to thick for that.

 

Got them from Headstrong. The 4" was after first installing them before even driving around. I just measured again and they are at 3" from stock. I measured 39" on the drivers and 39 1/2" passenger before and am at 41 1/2" on drivers and 42" on passenger side now from floor to fender lip. Still has a slight stink bug look to it, I need to update the front suspension.

Took my catalytic converter off today cause it was clogged and giving me problems and since I don't have to pass deq here I think to throw on a glass pack and just dump it in front of my rear tire. opinions?

Also does anyone know how well fuel wheels do with manual locking hubs? I like the revolvers but I just can't find any information as to how well they'll work out for me. thanks
