my 2016 SR5 was at 36k and needed new tires got a mailer stating they would give top dollar for my trade. Zero money out of pocket. Payments went up $50. Traded the SR5 for a 2018 TRD Sport. No payments until February is nice this time of year. Bought the 16 new. HIDs Morimoto XBs already ordered.

Called them out, or went for the bait? Either way, congrats on the upgrade. How many more months are you in for now?

I dunno if I fell for the bait. Told them what I wanted, terms I wanted and if it can’t be met no biggie. They met it. I don’t keep vehicles for more than 40k miles so owning a vehicle with high resale value helps a lot.
Months didn’t get extended. Same terms and APR as the 16 (2.9%)

My payments are $360 a month. I could easily afford more, but the kid wants a Lexus when she graduates college. If she marries her engineer boyfriend it won’t be my problem if she doesn’t , it is.

What is the total cost increase with taxes? Do you not trust the Tacoma past 40K miles?

About $3000. I trust it after 40. Wanted a Sport and if the terms were right I was GTG.

Leave the guy alone. If he wants to rent vehicles and have payments every month of his life until he dies that's his choice.

This seems like a huge waste of money especially if you don’t buy Tacoma’s. But to each his own. Leasing seems like a lot better deal in your case(in a Tacoma in might be a wash because of resale value).

If your only paying 360 a month you must have put a significant amount down initially on your trade in Tacoma?

Just curious how much did they give you for a 2016 sr5 with 36k on it? Mine will be around that in a couple years (3 years old and 36k miles)
