I have wanted a truck for a very long time and finally took the plunge! Live in Maryland and having the first snow of the year... Any tricks I should know? I have never had a truck or 4wd before. Thanks. Love looking at all the fun trucks.

    BTW, welcome to the site...
    Great question!....few ask

    My advice,...
Go to a local mall parking lot on a Sunday night (hopefully with snow and ice )....
    After closing obviously...

Go easy, but do doughnuts on ice...around a couple of empty boxes (the box part is very important...read next line)
If the cops see you doing this,...they WILL come and inquire...

But be honest, and they will appreciate your reasons...

Learn about skid control...and the braking distance by speed not to hit the boxes.

My dad taught me how to drive in the 70's doing this...
After an hour, he said,...ok now that you know how to loose control going into a turn,...go around the boxes without the fishtailing.

physics is still the same today...

    Learn practice, have fun...

Getting your new Taco was one of the best decisions you've made in life, congrats...
Lots of good folks here on the site to offer both good and bad advice...

    Consider both,.

    Cheers,
    P
