    Hola
Just recently purchased a 2018 Tacoma 4x4 TRD Offroad. This weekend added a Pro Comp leveling kit and add-a-leaf with stock wheels with 33" BFG KO2's........I've got tire rub now. I think the issue can be resolved by swapping out to the TRD PRO wheels. I've seen that other gus have added 33" BFG's with no lift at all, on a TRD PRO or TRD PRO Wheel. Can anyone help?

I was told that I could not use an aftermarket wheel unless I went to a 17" wheel, which I don't want to do. Plus I already purchase and installed my BFGs. Would the .511" offset of the TRD pro wheel work? I think the alloy wheels that came with my 2018 are about .25"?

The pros will probably help as they have less offset they push your wheels and tires out about a half inch if I remember correctly.

You could also try using wheel spacers from Bora or Spidertrax, though those are sometimes a little controversial as far as safety and longevity of bearings etc. though many guys have run them hard for years with no issues.

This is great advice. I did the 4runner pro wheels with a 265/70/17 SL and I was going to run a 285/70/17 and was told I could run them with no issues, no chopping and no issues. They run that tire setup on one of their many shop trucks. Its the offset, so I would think wheels and or spacers would help. Again great advice.

Thanks for the help. I ended up going to spacers as a temporary measure. It’s gonna take me a while to find the money and a good set of TRD pro wheels so these will do me for now. Here’s a pic of what it looks like now. More to come as upgrades happen but for now I think she’s sitting pretty good

Hopefully, you got spacers that actually bolt up to the hub, and not ones that loosely fit on there. As suggested, I would go with Spidertrax or Bora.

By the way, the shop that told you that you can't upgrade wheels unless you go to 17's. Never go back. Plenty of 16" options available.
