What do you guys think about this kit to go along with an ARB bumper + winch? I don't want to have to replace the UCA's and am not concerned with getting a certain amount of lift. I just want to safely support the bumper + winch combo. Will the 885 springs in this kit be enough?

I'd go with the 886 to support the extra weight. If its 3" or under of lifts you shouldn't have to replace the UCAs. Wheelers doesn't charge anything extra to upgrade the springs. They are extremely helpful with their customer service though. You can email them and get their .02 on what you should get with that setup and bumper/winch combo. Or shoot them a pm on here.

886 are the heavy duty. youre not gonna want a softer one with the addition of a winch

So what coils with the 5100? Cause you can have the 5100 set to zero with beefier coils, or you can crank them up with stock coils to 2.5" and have it ride like shit. Honestly, go 886 and call it a day. But if you have the Ironman Suspension (Depending on which one you have) you probably won't see much of an upgrade.

That is a Shiny ass truck.

As the others said, ARB+Winch? Go 886. Mine rode great with that set up. Very comfortable and capable. If you hit a hard bump you'll bottom out your suspension with the 885s. You can go without upgrading the UCA's, but for the price they are, you might as well look into getting them eventually. It's described as a women in High Heels. Sure she can wear them, but do you want her to wear them all day long? Do you want her to run in them? No. Having Stock UCA's is like that. You're putting them to their Max on dry pavement let alone what you'll do off road.

I have come to love the white truck. It doesn't show dirt and always looks clean and shiny

    My pleasure.

My work partner has a white truck. Doesn't do anything for me (Ambulances are white so I'm a little jaded on the colour), but I do agree, like Silver it's not a bad colour to get dirty. I still think Silver is better though. Hides swirls and scratches, reflects heat and if it gets dirty it just looks Sandy coloured. But white like Black looks great if it's cleaned and polished.

I got the warn M8000. It was on sale and came with a free recovery bag last year, but I think they are running a special now with the holidays. Still haven't used it yet :pout:
Save the ARB instructions where it tells you how much to turn the winch controls. It was spot on for mine.
To be honest I would have waited and gotten them both at the same time if I were you. That thing was a pain in the ass to put on once, I wouldn't want to do it again. If you have fog lights already in the truck I would get the kit. I didn't like the look of it without them there and just plastic cutouts

    Resurrecting an old thread.

Can factory suspension handle the ARB with winch?

Like if you did nothing else than install the bumper and winch?

It'll still drive and generally work OKish. But like anything, there is the right way to do things, and the halfass way of doing things. With that much weight on the nose, it'll nose dive pretty heavy under braking, and will definitely bring the nose down some categorically. Have a 200-225 pound friend of yours sit on the front of the hood and that's basically where the truck will stance itself with the factory suspension.

Over GVWR and I keep adding more metal
I had OME 885's on my Second Gen with an aluminum bumper... Upgraded to King 700 pounds springs and drove around with NO bumper for a few days, it felt fine to me... just a little stiff. After I added my ARB bumper and 9.5 winch, it rides amazing over potholes/washboard dirt roads and on the road. Wouldn't go any less than a 650 pound spring.

My truck is ex cab, V6, sliders, ARB, and winch. I plan on adding skids so that's why I went 700.
