Pays to read the whole thread in detail! I missed the 4.0 3.5 part!

Edit: NO doubt about Op's skills and product. He's only halfway across the state from me too!

Very well said! Thank you @TRD493 for posting.

I havent looked at any of their stuff and even seeing pictures of it I dont think I would be able to tell if they got the lengths of all the sections correct or not.
Like @DocME stated, I dont know for sure but it's probably comparing apples to oranges especially since they are designed for different engines.

That magnaflow 59959 is the universal cat that you guys mentione above, correct? Looking to make sure I get the right thing for the short tube headers if I go this cat route.

59959 is 3". If you are looking at the ones that weld to your headers I "think" the Magnaflow 59956 is a 2.5" but I dont know what diameter the header exit is on those headers.

I didn't think exhaust mattered for SMOG. just everything before the CATs. Also, There is one set of CARB shorty headers from Doug Thorley but you have to get cats welded to them. I've got an extra set of cats that I plan to get welded up someday but it's something I'm not looking forward to $$ for since my originally east coast truck will likely need a bunch of work on the rusty flanges.

Yeah I have been toying with the idea of creating a new thread so I can edit the first post as needed.
I feel bad though because I know @5thGearPinned spent a lot of time on this one.

Just quote it in the post so others can be linked back to the beginning. But you do need your own thread so you can control updates as they become available.

@5thGearPinned can edit the OP to link to your new thread as well so people know where to go for more info. I'm just waiting to find out I'm next in the list

I hear ya man and I appreciate everyone's patience greatly! It will take a bit of time to create my own thread but for now I have been cleaning out my garage (got a storage unit) to have more room to work. Moved a bunch of stuff to storage and cleaned the garage to prepare for some serious torch action!

Notice truck ready for another y-pipe removal.15424215266012916593417013907578.jpg

Had to make a box to separate the J Bung orders. Also transition cones, premade merges, and other parts.

The new setup with larger welding table and welding cart.
I really do appreciate everyone's patience and it's time to start melting some stainless!
The plan is make @Stryker420's then build a template from that. I went to Houston last weekend to check fitment on a 2wd 4Runner to confirm fitment so I only have to make one jig. @Lucario Runner is the first 4Runner to have this and he got #7 y-pipe built.

I plan on creating my own thread so I can edit as needed but huge thanks to @5thGearPinned for starting this one. I told him to just post what he thought and he started this thread (he is admittantly forum challenged).

    Stay tuned....

I fully support creating your own thread. @5thGearPinned I’m sure understands the reason.

    This

Garage looks great. I like the parts stock shelf.
