How do you remove those?

Ah the difference. I used a lower quality air hammer tool with a lower quality compressor and the lugs laughed at my attempt.

I ended up welding a small frame together to hold a bottle jack creating a makeshift press.

It is a very taco application, a very anal one as well...
Looking to sandwich the spare tire between 2 spacers. 1" spacer + 1" riser + 1" wheel + 1" spacer = 4in.
First need to remove the original studs off the spacers.
Then need to find 5 bolts M12 X 1.5 X 100mm barrel head to fit in the place of the studs.
Then have to turn 5 cylinder spacers to go over the bolts.
Last, hoist the spare tire under the truck.

This is what we used to do when I worked at an auto shop. Getting them in was even more fun.

 

Long stroke hammers are key. This is one tool that snapon is well worth the Money. IR makes a pretty good one if u can't spend the money on the snapon. Make sure you get the good ir though. They make some pretty wimpy ones.

 

Flip em over and use as is.
