Just browsing abc7ny.com you'd think a fcking snowmageddon happened around NYC yesterday ... Students, teachers stuck at schools overnight, bridges closed, traffic for miles and hours....

No offense but the concentration of stupidity and lack of preparation is something that makes me glad i live in the stix. At least out in no-whereville if someone does something stupid a can go around them( or stop/help if needed)

Do you guys know who’s rocking a all black 2nd gen, with plate bumpers front and rear, D-Shackles, color matched cap, and snorkel in the New City Bardonia NY area.

I pulled up along side him on 304 in Bardonia in front of Dunkin Donuts. We gave each other the thumbs up and then pushed ahead off all the knuckleheads stuck and spinning the same snow from the previous night.

Be nice to know if he’s on TW.

The snow last night made the roads kinda shitty. Nothing I couldn't easily drive through, but the carnage I found with other people amazed me....

Best thing I saw while going out to dinner...
There is a long(1/2-3/4 mile) long hill coming off a big bridge going up with 3 lanes.
I turned on that road and started climbing the hill. I was swerving left and right passing all the cars struggling hard to make it up spinning their tires, or just stuck.
Near the top of the hill I was a slightly older GM suv with 3 people trying to push it up the hill as only the rear tires spun like crazy. There was a 4x4 sticker on the side of the vehicle, but turns out that only works if you turn it on.

Love the way those tires look but doesn't seem like they have much siping on them. I'm probably going to upgrade the stock wheels and tires to some duratrac. I saw some at3w today in person and they dont look as good as the duratrac. But they are much cheaper.

welcome guys, I’m from the Mid-Hudson area. I’ve had my eye on a 3rd gen for a while and finally stumbled into one for a good deal. This is my first Toyota and so far I’m real happy with it. Definitely a bit different from the full-size pickup I came from though.

Also from the MH valley. That truck looks nice!
Picked up my 2018 (used) a few weeks ago up in Wappingers. See Peter at DCH if you are going the dealer route.

Thanks! I was a little hesitant about the silver but it’s growing on me since it always looks clean. I also have a friend that works at DCH. I found this truck in Danbury CT “used” at a Subaru dealership with 3000 miles on it.

    Welcome  and congrats!
Very nice truck! Sometimes I regret not getting a Silver Sky... Don't get me wrong I like MGM but don't have time to wash it every other day lol
Looks like someone needed a station wagon more than mini truck

I’m happy they took the depreciation hit for me. Hopefully the station wagon was worth it to them

Anyone here into kayak bass fishing?

There’s a new club called Hudson Valley Kayak Bass Fishing. Inaugural tournament is in 2019.

I’ll post up the tourney schedule in a little bit.

Anyone here an electronics wizard of some sort? Could use some help with my next project.

Also need recommendations for a local electronics store. I need some resistors, capacitors, prototyping breadboard, digikey, etc.

I’d like to try to build a 20vDC-12vDC converter with battery undervolt protection.

I should be able to use my 20v Dewalt Batteries to power my kayak electric motor and my ARB fridge/freezer.

I like to get out and do some, but not good enough that I'd ever enter a tournament.
