It has been a week or so since I've upgraded toa stage 6 icon w/Billet on my 3rd gen. Ever since my ride has been rather noise in terms of squeeking from the rear leafs (mainly driver side). Today there has been awful grinding noise coming from the driver side ball joint of the Billet uca. I took it in and they greased up the leafs which deleted most of the squeeking. Than they sprayed some lubricant at the bottom of the uca where the joint is visible and that fixed the grinding. I drove it out for about 30min and the grinding came back and I did what they told me and just lubricate the joint while turning my steering wheel to get a most of the area covered. I haven't heard it since but I have been very concerned since I walked out the shop with this new kit. I worry that it may be an installation error or perhaps they just need to be broken in. Later that night I took pictures of the leafs on where they lubricated and I took off the cap of the uca join and took pictures of what seems to be shaving resedue inside. I will blow all of it out tomorrow with an air tool. Here are pictures of what I took maybe you guys know alot more about this.. other than that they are awesome. I just rather have a quiet ride on my 2015 trd pro bilsteins..than a noisy ride and these costed me alot of money..

Leafs without isolator pads will squeak. Can’t help that. Even when you geese it like that eventually the grease will come off and it will squeak again.

You don’t have balljoints in those uca’s. Those are uniball and will squeak when there is contamination. You can use some tri-flow(dry Lube) but you will eventually squeak again.

If you really wanted it quiet should have gone with either balljoint, or maybe have tried icon delta joint. You spent a lot but you got what you paid for. Those are high end parts but that’s what comes with those kinds of parts. There are alternatives to make it quieter.

Welcome to the high end. Every time you get them wet or muddy you will need to meticulously clean and relube them if you want them quiet. Unfortunately that's the price for that level of performance.

    I recommend Boeshield T-9

Yup. Uniballs squeak pop and groan.
Id see if you can access the top of them as well, and clean they out with air and a microfiber. Then use dry lube on top of the uniball. I use Triflow.

I do this after every time offroad, especially in wetter conditions. As well as once every month even if I don’t go offroad.

Squeaky leafs are common but sort of weird that yours are making noises right after installation. Either way Fluid Film ( https://amzn.to/2RZM7RY ) will be your best friend as it does a great job of penetrating/protecting the leafsprings and lasts for quite a while.

Check to see if all the pads are there i have lost a few after flexing suspension. And then see if the leafs are rubbing somewhere else. I have had to trim the ends of leafs to stop rubbing. Grease the pads all around. The whole pad top, bottom, the pin section where it goes into the leaf.
