About half an hour for approval. 2 months to get a frame.

Doesn’t look like what I had. The stuff they sprayed on mine was thick and sticky. Stayed sticky for weeks afterwards.

 

Dang its been like 4 days now.

 

My frame approval took a couple weeks, I don't know what the dealer was waiting for, but I had to keep checking in to see if it went through.

 

Thinking I might call them today, dude did say he is on vacation next week so If I don't hear anything today I wont until the week after next.

 

Yup, keep after them, and it will go through .

 

Same thing happened to me, they told me to come pick up my truck and didn't say anything. I called back a few weeks later and they told me, "Ya you're getting a frame were just waiting for corporate to approve the work".

It was just weird cause they never told me any news, they just expected that I would know lol.

Just follow up, the tend to just assume instead of actually calling with an update. The assistant at the front desk isn't much help either lol.

 

They are supposed to give you a loaner while waiting on a frame. The idea is that a rust perforated frame is dangerous. On the other hand what damage is being done to your truck sitting on their lot inactive? I had a nice 4Runner loaner but hated having my truck sit!

 

I would love to be in that loaner! But I'm not as lucky. After they were done with mine, I had a hole approximately 1.5x1.5 inches.

When I called for an update they just said, "We'll either change it in October before tire season or in the spring." No other updates, no offer for a loaner, and this was in August.

 

Have them reread frame replacement protocols. If your frame fails causing injury the lawyers are going to have a hayday! Toyota, the dealership and possibly you could be on the hook!
