The IFS and transfer case skids are the same between v6 and 4 cylinder. The hang up comes from the transmission skid plate. No one makes a transmission skid for the 4 cylinder, so you'll have to buy a v6 skid and modify it.

@Casper66 did this to an SOS skid when he had his 4 banger auto 4x4 and has a good write up in his build thread. I have a @Mobtown Offroad skid that I'll be modding to fit my 4 cylinder manual prerunner.

For those that don’t know me feel gree to read what i had to go through as @ovrlndkull posted earlier. Why do I promote SOS? Simple as you can read i contacted every vendor I could find at the time. I had one close to me flat refuse to even discuss it. Others just never respinded except 2. Pelfreybuilt and SOS. Eddy’s willingness to gelp and the quality of his products won me over and I have been nothing but pleased with his customer service ever since. Just a small example of how good customer service can turn a situation around and wn customer lotalty. I’m just a grumpy old bastard that’s one of you guys just trying to get a few things done when I can afford to.

I know where I'll be buying my skids from. Does he modify the current one or build one for the 4cyl?
I have to do other things (maintenance/lift) before I buy the skids.

Email him and let him know what you have. If I were a betting man I'd say he has a cut file for the CNC and makes them and doesn't modify an existing as that would be more work. As a bonus the annual black friday sale is going on now. If you miss out on the sale I have a discount code in my signature. If you were closer I'd TW express them to ya

Given that most offroad companies rarely seem to keep stock on hand, I don't know why they don't all offer them. It's no extra work to keep a file on a computer for the laser cutter or cnc plasma when one is ordered.

It never made sense to me either. I understand there may not be as big a demand for 4cyl skids (although I don't understand that either) but people will still want them. It's ok with me I found a good company to work with other than that I would have been using a more local company who I don't care for most of their products as much. Funny, the one thing they do make I like is their skids

The big issue is prototyping unless you are a really big company like fab fours or ranch hand, maybe even CBI or others in our realm and get CAD files for all the different optioned trucks it's hard to see every little idiosyncrasy that may arise. But once there is a solution and you can get a good prototype for future ones then it isn't that difficult to keep instructions and a CNC file on hand for making them.

The other part to this is there are some companies that do not do cutting and bending/braking of sheet good in house so there is another step to prototyping and getting something set up that needs to happen.
