    NJ-Don't hold that against me!
    Vehicle:
2017 Tacoma Access Cab TRD OR
It's been about a month since I brought my 2017 Tacoma Access Cab TRD OR home. I've logged about 800 miles on it since then and thought I'd share a few observations of the truck.
    1. This is clearly the nicest vehicle I've ever owned. I like the styling, don't have any issues with the seats, and it has plenty of power for me.
    2. I towed with it for the first time yesterday and it had plenty of power. Low end, it didn't accelerate as quickly as I thought but I'm not trying to race anyone off the line. Once it was moving, it had more power at speed.
    3. My high water mark for 23.5mpg highway...most of my trips are less then 5 miles, needless to say, the mpg isn't as stellar.
    4. Trailering killed my mpg. On my trip to the slip to pick up my boat, pulling the trailer alone, mpg=18.5mpg. Not sure what it was towing my boat, about 4,000#'s total package...(I forgot to check...LOL)
    5. The navigational system sucks!
    6. Did I say the navigational system sucks?
    7. If I didn't, it does!
    8. Started my list of wants:
    8a-Running Boards
    8b-Bed cover
8c-new mats. The ones they gave me really suck!
    9. After my trip to Waretown to get my boat, I decided to get it washed. Went to the Honda Carwash about 5 minutes from my house. Wife's car was purchased from them so she gets free car washes whenever she wants. My truck, not free...what a surprise when I learned it was $13.00 for a wash! Yikes! When did that happen?????
    10. Finally, I'm really happy with the truck and my purchase. Thought I got a fair price for a truck with 7,000 miles on her and with the extended warranty they give, it was a no brainer. Was considering the Frontier and the Colorado, both had +/-'s, but I've had my eye on the Tacoma's for a long time now. Glad I got what I wanted and not gone bottom line on it. I'm planning to hold onto this truck for a long time...so resale value wasn't really an issue, but it's good to know if I decide to upgrade, the value will be there. As I've told my kids many times, usually when I'm trying to justify spending too much on a rod or reel that I don't really need another of..."You only buy quality once..."

Thanks for all the help...it's greatly appreciated!

    Dave
