I think I've come up with a plan dudes. Think I'm buying an IFS skid just because that would be the largest hardest to produce, then making the rest myself.

First flakes are coming down here. Potential 3-5 tonight and 1-3 tomorrow. Had a little melt off with the heat, but the ground is still completely covered and still have a few inches that held in there.

Sideview mirror cracked today. I was disappointed to find out most auto parts stores don't stock vehicle specific mirrors in store. It makes sense though. The crack is annoying the crap out of me though. Besides ordering online and waiting a few days, does anyone have a driver side mirror glass hanging around for a 2013 Power mirror assembly? I've asked auto salvage yards around and the only hit I got was a 2008 Highlander, which will fit, but they will only sell the entire assembly for $75.

    Glass shop?
I know the first thing my father used to take off the trucks he had were the passenger side mirrors. He hated them.

For everyone with a snowblower. How much snow for you to bother with it over a shovel? I feel like 3-4 inches is shovel ready, especially if its light. Also might depend on if you are clearing a walkway or two or a whole driveway.

Just curious as I start tracking this new snow storm.:notsure:

    Looks right.

Looking at the pics, he has a triple acting aquastat.

So, the boiler should maintzin a minimum temp, an operating temp, and have a hi limit.

There is also a relay inside for the circ pump.
Sometimes the end switch in the zone valve calls the boiler, and as long as its at a certain temp the circ pump runs, or ot just runs... all depends on the wiring.....

    So.... this came.... :taco:

    20181119_155751.jpg

Had the opportunity, and I took it... hoping the weather cooperates Friday, and I can get it installed.

I need to be greedy, and get help making a decision.

Im an incredibly indecisive person... and I was joking with @tacobell007 this weekend...

I bought a cheap roll up tonnuae cover as a stop gap.

On the fence with a soft topper, hard shell, or the roll up.

Ultimately, I need a full length rack. Lumber, pipe, conduit, hopefully another canoe or kayak...

Id snag a soft topper, except, there is the issue of the dog(s)....

Anyone let their dogs ride in the bac, with a softtopper?

    Excellent
Mine too has that, but my work schedule overlaps my wife’s , so I heat the house with the stove, and when she comes it’s still pretty warm, and she does the same , most nights.
So for the most part it’s done manually.
    Again thanks

That's an interesting thought. You think they'd be able to cut the same day? What would he replace them with?

If you run the line above the bottom of the tank, you'll need a pump otherwise you'll run the burner dry when the oil level drops below the highest level of the line. Before you bother, check and make sure the copper line isn't lined with flexible metal conduit.

    To many, but never done
I use the backpack leaf blower on light snow up to a couple inches, works pretty good.

Negative. His oil pump should be able to generate plenty of vacuum to pull the oil. Bleeding it can be a chore if he runs out of oil, but, it is done plenty. My last house, elected to run my line this way.
Worse case, can run a 2 pipe, or a Tiger Loop, and basically have self bleeding system.
This is standard practice. The exception is Riello burners, they dont like overhead feed lines.

If it’s light fluff I won’t bother, conserve my fuel .
This was recommended by the tech from Haffner’s to use a tiger loop when he did my annual clean out.
Would I be able to Leave it buried in the concrete? It really wouldn’t matter because it wouldn’t be that much work to chisel out and patch it and paint it

I do agree with the electronic tolling thing--MA apparently had some toll collectors making $75k+.
I have one with a little chip off of it that you could have to get you through, but I am probably pretty far away from you.
I had heard the same...most are fine. Mine is actually a Riello, my oil guy told me my boiler was very high end back when it was put in. He replaced my old line with one on the ground, but my tank is so close it wouldn't make sense to run it up and over anyway.

I have a wall separating my tank from my burner and that would be why I would run it over the floor

Sounds like you have either a Buderus, or Biasi. Both excellent castings. FWIW, IF I stick with oil, those are pretty much my 2 choices. 3 pass, etc. The Biasi has a slight edge, as it is lower mass, allowing faster heat recovery.

In my case, based on my setup, I may be better off overall, with a modulating, low mass, condensing LP boiler.

There is no single answer anymore.
